S&S Paint & Body has been serving the Bloomington area since 1975 with Larry Smiley at the helm, favored in the local community as an auto body shop that puts the customer and their needs first. They started as a humble shop repairing semis and service vehicles as the core of their business.

However, great customer service is not their only advantage, as the skilled staff at S&S have built their name on high-quality repairs. One of them, Kelly Spence, started washing cars in 1980 only to work his way up to an expert technician and then a trusted business owner.

Larry recognized Kelly’s talent and dedication, which ultimately inspired them to build a partnership in 1990. Then nine years later, Larry retired and Kelly took over the business and continued the long legacy of stellar customer care and unsurpassed service.
Finding like-minded experts focused on unparalleled customer service and community values is no easy feat.

When Kelly decided it was time to retire, Jachymiak knew the shop would be a perfect fit with his brand vision. “S&S is my life’s work,” said Kelly. “I am very proud of the business and am excited to see the positive influence that Sebastian will bring to make it even more successful.”

S&S will continue operating under the same structure and name, providing the community with the reliability and quality they have come to expect over the past 37 years.
